Secretariat

So i dont know what sparked my interest, but i remember watching Silver Charm try to win the Triple Crown back in 1997 and ive been hooked ever since. For those who aren't familiar, you have to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont. It is considered one of the hardest athletic feats ever to complete. The last time it was done was in 1978 by Affirmed by a nose. But the most impessive horse to do it was Secretariat who won the Belmont by 31 lengths.... The race picks up about a minute in.

The belmont is 1 1/2 miles, most horses are trained for shorter races like the Kentucky Derby which is only 1 mile, and the Preakness is a 1 1/4.
